Mr. Jones has been founded on the belief that tea is truly tasteful when its fine flavour is established through a responsible method of production. Very fine teas with attention for the environment as well as respect for the individual form the basis of the company.
Mr. Jones offers a wide range of beautiful and healthy teas. At the same time Mr. Jones wants to promote a responsible way of production and a more honest distribution within the business column (tea chain) . Mr. Jones acknowledges his own responsibility, and finds support in labeling organisations.
Because of the wide range in teas as well as herbs, from various countries, every product deserves its own consideration.
A large number of the Mr. Jones teas and infusions are organically grown and (as such) certified. In addition, a substantial portion of the assortment has been bought on the basis of Fair Trade. For those teas who were bought in a different way (not through FT) Mr. Jones makes a reservation for an extra sum to be used for charitable purposes.
For packing materials Mr. Jones opts - whenever feasible and technically possible - for reusable materials or otherwise materials who do not harm the environment.
In choosing its partners Mr. Jones will try to favour those companies who venture in a socially responsible manner.
Mr. Jones' teas and herbs are imported from a range of different countries and each have their own unique origin. All teas are selected with the greatest care from the worlds' most renowned tea gardens. Mr. Jones does not flavour or blend its teas (single source).
Mr. Jones only buys the pure product, which is traceable to its individual source. Tea is a natural product, seasonal influences may cause slight variations in taste and colour.
Mr. Jones teas and infusions only contain natural ingredients, they consist of the pure leaves or herbs. No artificial colouring, flavouring or preservatives have been added. The Chinese teas obtain their aroma and taste - in a traditional way - by the addition of natural flower petals.
For businesses as well as for private customers, Mr. Jones offers a range of twelve different teas and infusions in tea boxes, containing twenty individually wrapped and airtight teabags (fannings or teabag cut).
Mr. Jones has the same assortment - same origin - in whole leaf teas. These teas are available for shops and private consumers in cans, and for bars, cafés and hotels also in resealable bags.
In addition Mr. Jones offers a line of exclusive and refined leaf teas. Because the availability of these teas is restricted, Mr. Jones offers them as 'limited editions'. To preserve all scent and taste, the tea is vacuum sealed and packaged in so-called 'pouches'.
